Taking a stroll in the French quarters of Hanoi, watching the sunset unfold over limestone islands from the deck of a traditional junk in Halong bay, enjoying the gastronomic delights in Hoi An, cycling in the paddy fields beyond this charming town, diving near the coast of the remote Con Dao islands, going down in one of the cu chi tunnels – my trip to Vietnam seems like a series of unforgettable experiences.
Explore the best of Croatia with this two week itinerary. Mediterranean climate, 2000 kilometers of coastline, an array of beautiful islands, stunning medieval towns of Split and Dubrovnik, the picturesque Plitvice National Park; you got to visit this beautiful country.
Jaisalmer is a dream destination not just for foreign tourists visiting India for its exotic charms, but even for a Rajasthani as I. The hospitality at Suryagarh, a boutique hotel, about 15 kilometres outside the Jaisalmer city made our trip a memorable one.
Zagreb is nothing like the medieval towns of Split and Dubrovnik, and yet, warrants a day or two. There is interesting architecture, small museums, good restaurants and beautiful parks to be enjoyed.
Luck, happenstance, and information from our B&B manager, got us to explore this park in a different manner. The tranquil walk in the Upper Lakes, and the trail with gazebos high above in the Lower Lakes area, would be my recommendation to experience the park’s beauty, away from the crowds.
