So many reasons to visit Sri Lanka – UNESCO heritage sites like Sigiriya, ancient ruins of Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa, National parks like Yala and Kaudulla, sandy beaches all over the country, misty hills and tea plantations in Nuwara Eliya, car-free colonial fortresses like Galle to roam around in.
For our travel to Sri Lanka, we stuck to the developed areas during the 10 days spent in this beautiful country and did not venture in the north or east side, ravaged by 40 years of war. The north and east side are pristine and worth travelling to.
